Ponce De Leon Area

Ponce de Leon Golf Course is known by resident golfers as the “long and hilly.” The par-72 course opened in 1989 and measures back tees at 6,946 yards with the forward tees in at 5,273 yards. Ranked 3rd in the top ten Arkansas courses, it continues to challenge. Many local charity tournaments and golf association events are played here. Enjoy a drink and dining on the veranda of Danny’s at Ponce restaurant and then be sure to make another tee time. All courses provide computers to request specific courses and timeframes.

Located off of Ponce de Leon Drive Marina offers fishing and pontoon boat rentals, mini and dry storage, boat slip rentals, bait sales, and a gas station. Summer hours of operation are 7:00 am until 8:00 pm. Winter hours are posted at the Marina (501) 922-3435

Pavilion

Located off of Ponce de Leon Drive Pavilion is covered and has picnic tables. Grills and restrooms are also available. Pavilions can be rented from the Coronado Natatorium at (501) 922-1230.

Located off of Ponce de Leon Drive Beach does not have lifeguards.

Lake Balboa offers fishing, swimming, and water skiing.
Types of Fish: black bass, spotted bass, channel catfish, blue cat, black and white crappie, blue gill, green sun fish, and copper nose bream.

  • Last Chance Restaurant Located at Balboa marina. Features an American flare with a fun atmosphere. Lakeside dining available.

  • Danny’s Restaurant Open seven days a week 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Full service bar available. Breakfast features a complete menu to choose from. Specialty is omelets. Lunch and Dinner includes hamburgers, salads, steak, seafood, sandwiches, and daily specials including jambalaya and grilled pork chops. Specialty is Shrimp and Corn Soup which is served daily. Dishes have a definite south Louisiana flare. Patio dining is available.

  • Woodland Auditorium Built in 1991, this 658-seat auditorium is the cultural center of Hot Springs Village.  With approximately 75 events per year, the Arts Center is one of the busiest places in the village.  The Woodlands Auditorium and Ouachita Activities Building host a variety of offerings for every taste and preference.   Recent productions include the Ronnie Kole Trio, Crystal Chimes Chorus, David Itkin Lectures, Opera Iowa, Hello Dolly, and Mark Twain.  In 1994 the Glen Miller Orchestra visited the Center.  For information about upcoming and past productions, visit www.hsvwoodlands.com.
